Stokesley School U14 Netball Team have been crowned regional champions and have qualified for the National Finals for the first time in 20 years.
The regional finals, which took place on the 1st February at the English Institute of Sport (EIS) in Sheffield, saw teams from across Yorkshire compete to be crowned the Regional Champions.
Several hard-fought matches, against tough opposition, saw the Stokesley U14’s win every one their seven games, earning them the title of Regional Champions and a qualifying place for the National Final.
Miss Stewart, Head of Girls’ P.E. at Stokesley School said of the team’s victory: “The team should extremely proud of their effort, attitude, resilience and support to each other throughout the day.
We would also like to thank all the local clubs the girls attend for their continued brilliant coaching and support, and the local schools in North Yorkshire who wished us luck and have sent messages of congratulations to the girls.
You can be sure the girls will give it all they've got in the finals.”
The team will now represent our region in the National Finals which take place in Sheffield on Saturday 22nd March, we wish them the best of luck as they continue their sporting success!
